DOLE MIMAROPA conducts General Assembly together with its attached agencies

On February 02 – 04, 2017, personnel of DOLE MIMAROPA and its other attached agencies such as OWWA and RTWPB gathered in Marco Vincent Resort, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro to start the year with one clear goal: to work as one team.

Considering the region’s peculiarity in terms of its geographical disintegration where provinces are separated by vast bodies of water, team work has been the call of Regional Director Atty. Alvin M. Villamor since his assumption in MIMAROPA Region for more than a year ago. He emphasized during the general assembly that each office has to reach out with each other for better and faster delivery of services.

OWWA and RTWPB presented their accomplishments for 2016. They were both appreciative of the support of DOLE MIMAROPA and believe that they will still get the same weight of assistance for the upcoming activities and programs this year.

TESDA, though now under the Office of the President, was also present during the assembly and also discussed relevant programs that could still be implemented in coordination with DOLE.

The assembly also served as venue for the Labor Laws Compliance Officers (LLCOs) to strategically plan for the realization of its target accomplishment for 2017. Distribution of target number of establishments to be assessed for each LLCO and other functions was carried out.

Plans of providing additional benefits to employees under the DOLE MIMAROPA Employees Association (DOMEA) were also discussed and agreed to be implemented the soonest time possible.  Employees’ concerns were also aired out during the Director’s hour held on the last day of the said assembly.
