DOLE Romblon, PESOMAR conduct 2016 YEPA and 2017 1st Quarter Meeting

Last January 24 -25, 2017, the DOLE Romblon Field Office, headed by Mr. Carlo B. Villaflores, together with the PESO Managers of the province of Romblon, conducted the Year End PESO Assessment (YEPA) and their 1st Quarter PESO Meeting at Harbor Chateau, Poctoy, Odiongan, Romblon.

The YEPA concentrated on the presentation of Accomplishment Reports from the PESO Managers and the re – orientation of the programs of the department. The programs discussed were Alien Employment Program (AEP), Construction and Safety Health Program (CSHP), Single- Entry Approach (SENA), DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), and Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES).The Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) – Family Welfare Officer, Ms. Glory Lee Foja also shared the benefits and programs offered by OWWA for the welfare of OFWs and their families. Some of the programs mentioned were the education and scholarship assistance, workers welfare assistance, social services and family welfare services, and the reintegration program.

After the re – orientation, Mr. Carlo B. Villaflores encouraged the PESO Managers to always work hand in hand with the department, their Local Government Units and other National Agencies concerned. He also discussed the accomplishments of DOLE Romblon Field Office for the year 2016. For the year 2017, there was a breakdown of the report per municipality and as for the said year; he laid out the different targets and allocation of beneficiaries, specifically, for EEP and GIP. He also asked for pledges from the PESO managers on their assistance for livelihood projects.

Later, the PESOMAR, headed by Ms. Alicia Fetalvero held their First quarterly meeting for the calendar year 2017 as DOLE sets targets for 2017.
