Jobs Fair Await MindoreƱo Jobseekers during Labor Day Celebration

With the upcoming 2017 Labor Day celebration, the Department of Labor and Employment-Occidental Mindoro Field Office calls all jobseekers in the province to participate in the triple back-to-back Job Fairs on May 1, 4 and 9, 2017 sponsored by LGU San Jose, LGU Sablayan and Moral & Social Transformation Movement.

This year’s event, with the theme “Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho Tungo sa Progresibong Pagbabago,” aims to provide full, decent and productive employment opportunities to all Mindoreño jobseekers especially the fresh graduates who are now exploring the world of work.

At least 16 recruitment agencies/companies are expected to join in this activity. Most job vacancies for local employment include production operators, customer service representatives, office personnel, retail and sales agents, hotel staff, among others while overseas employment vacancies include highly skilled workers, hospital staff, machine operators and more. As reported by PESOs, more agencies are still signifying their intent to join in these activities.

PESO managers advise jobseekers to register early and scout job openings of the participating companies as soon as the activity begin. Jobseekers are also advised to come prepared, in proper attire, with multiple sets of their resumes, certificates of employment if any, transcript of records, clearance, ID photos, passport and other relevant pre-employment documents needed by employers.

The DOLE will also be joined by other offices including OWWA, POEA, OMSC, technical schools, respective Public Employment Service Offices (Pesos) from other LGUs, and other allied-partner agencies in the said activity.
