8,000 Jobs await MindoreƱo at TNKK during Independence Day Celebration

With the government’s new “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan at Konsyumer” (TNKK) program, the Department of Labor and Employment-Occidental Mindoro Field Office calls all jobseekers in the province to participate in the 1-day Job Fair on June 12, 2017 sponsored by LGU San Jose and DOLE MIMAROPA to be held from 8:00am – 5:00pm at San Jose Municipal Plaza.

At least nine (9) local recruitment agencies/companies are expected to join in this activity. Most job vacancies include production operators, customer service representatives, office personnel, retail and sales representatives, cadet engineers, heavy equipment operators, truck drivers, electricians, warehouse clerks, accounting staffs, branch clerks and encoders, quality controllers, visual inspectors, machine operators and visual inspectors.

PESO Managers advise jobseekers to register early in order for them to scout more companies during the job fair. They are also advised to come in proper attire and have multiple sets of their resumes, certificates of employment, transcript of records, clearance, ID photos, and other relevant pre-employment documents needed by employers.

Meanwhile, a two day seminar/consultation workshop spearheaded by DTI in convergence with OWWA, NRCO, DOT, DSWD, DAR, SEC, and NBI is also set on June 12-13, 2017 at Sikatuna Beach Hotel and Restaurant as it aims to assist consumers, associations and business sectors in terms of employment, entrepreneurship, investment opportunities, livelihood, and consumer production thru advocacy programs.

TNKK was jointly organized by DOLE, DTI and other partner agencies which prioritized decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, formalization and growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), youth unemployment reduction, education and training.
