It has becoming a cliché now, but webinars are the new normal. Webinars become a trend at an instant. With this, we would like to thank our Regional Director for his leadership, his vision and support for this kind of activity. And of course, to (you) our partners for accepting this invitation”, PD Tamacay said.

In his welcome remarks, Director Gutib thanked the participants for the time allotted for the orientation as he said “Despite we are busy to bring our time to recover losses that were incurred during community quarantine, you, our partners are here participating the VODCa of Oriental Mindoro Field Office. Prior to the implementation of the community quarantine, the Department of Labor and Employment used Labor Education seminars at the Plant level we visited, our partners, and share latest issuances, rules, and regulations especially management and workers. Unfortunately, because of this pandemic we shifted the way we conduct on how we share information to our stakeholders”.

The orientation proper was facilitated by the well-versed DOLE Oriental Mindoro staff – Ma. Lesly I. Romero, Ramezes R. Torres, and Mary Ann B. Dudas with the following topics: (1) Labor Advisory No. 17 series of 2020 or the Guidelines on Employment Preservation upon the Resumption of Business Operation; (2) Department Circular No. 1 or the Guidelines on the issuance of DOLE Certification as a requirement for application for payment of Unemployment Insurance or Involuntary Separation Benefit under SSS Circular 2019-011; (3) DTI and DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19; (4) Orientation on the DOLE MIMAROPA’s “Just Logged In” Project.
