OSHC opens its Regional Satellite Office in MIMAROPA

PALAWAN – On 16 October 2020, Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) has now its regional extension unit in MIMAROPA region which is located at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Palawan Field Office Building, Bgy. Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City.

DOLE MIMAROPA OIC Regional Director Albert E. Gutib gladly announced the availability of the additional attached agency of the department in MIMAROPA as he said, “This is very good news for us especially to the health practitioners as OSHC is now more reachable thru its satellite office in the region. This is just a beginning of bringing the department’s all-in-package services closer to the clients.”

OSHC Executive Director Engr. Noel C. Binag, CE, took into consideration the growing number of establishments in the region, thus establishing a satellite office is very timely to strengthen the delivery and implementation of OSHC programs to the vast region of MIMAROPA.

Newly appointed officer Kristan A. Sabando shall lead the office in the attainment of its main objective that is to promote, enhance, and instil national awareness and appreciation on the importance of occupational safety and health.

"After we just created the facebook page of OSHC Mimaropa, we already received overwhelming inquiries from the different safety practitioners and companies in the region. That's why even though our first goal is only to focus on the information dissemination within region about the mandate of the OSH, we shall double our work to quickly establish the office and right away offer our programs and services," Sabando said.

Also, OSHC will assign a focal person Mr. Kevin S. Faderog in the DOLE MIMAROPA Regional Office located in Calapan City to provide OSH services in Oriental Mindoro and nearby provinces.

OSHC Mimaropa announced on 27 October 2020 its first FREE ONLINE 10-hour BOSH SO1-Certification that is scheduled on November 16-17, 2020.

For succeeding OSH activities and related concerns, the public may visit OSHC Mimaropa or may send emails at

OSHC is the arm of the DOLE which is mandated to protect Filipino workers against accidents and illnesses, and to promote workers' welfare through effective programs that enhance productivity, workers well-being and afford social protection to its client sector.
