New Regional Director assumes in DOLE MIMAROPA

CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO – On 17 November 2020,  Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA gladly welcomed Atty. Joffrey M. Suyao as the new Regional Director.

From his remarkable beginnings, RD Suyao started his career in DOLE as Attorney III in Legal Service (09 October 2001 – 23 April 2002) then later on promoted as Attorney IV (24 April 2002 – 10 July 2003).

Being dedicated to his job, he was given the chance to work as Mediator-Arbiter in Bureau of Labor Relations (11 July 2003 – 09 March 2008). He was appointed as Assistant Regional Director and was assigned to DOLE NCR from 19 May 2008 to 31 January 2008.

Consistent with his ability to serve the public, RD Suyao was trusted and promoted as Regional Director assigned in DOLE Regional Office XI – Davao Region (01 February 2011 – 26 March 2017). Prior to his present assignment in MIMAROPA, RD Suyao served Regional Office X – Northern Mindanao Region from 27 March 2017 to 05 November 2020.

Along the journey, RD Suyao’s commitment paid off as he was recognized by the Career Executive Service Board as the Career Executive Service Very Innovative Person (CES-VIP) in 2016. With his new assignment, RD Suyao is now ready to bring good leadership in DOLE MIMAROPA.

“Most importantly, we should deliver quality service to the public that we took oath to serve with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty and efficiency. Thank you for your manifestation of full support and commitment. I hope we’ll have a great, enjoyable, productive, and fruitful journey here in MIMAROPA,” RD Suyao said.

Meanwhile, outgoing RD Albert E. Gutib was transferred to lead the DOLE Region X where he once served as Assistant Regional Director (03 March 2015 to 28 March 2016).

Administrative Order No. 110-D series of 2020 signed by Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III directed for the re-assignment of the two regional directors which took effect on 05 November 2020.
