Job opportunities for MIMAROPANs on Labor Day

CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO – In celebration of the contributions of the Filipino workforce to the social and economic development of the country, the Department of Labor and Employment - MIMAROPA region will conduct a Virtual Career Fair on 1 May 2021, Saturday.   The online job fair is organized by DOLE, in partnership with online employment site JobStreet and all the Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) in the region, as part of the expanded Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan Labor Day activities.

The Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) is an initiative of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) which aims to provide employment and skills training opportunities and entrepreneurial options to all types of job seekers.  In line with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022, this partnership is envisioned to reduce inequality by accelerating human capital development through the TNK initiative.

Over 3,000 job vacancies offered by participating local employers will be available for MIMAROPANs during the event, such as Production Operators, Customer Representatives, Field Collectors, Credit Investigators, Loan Processors, Collection Specialists, Field Coordinators, Drivers, Dock Workers and Account Officers.

DOLE MIMAROPA Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao said that the first online employment facilitation and job matching event in MIMAROPA is organized to safely connect employers and jobseekers through a very convenient platform.  “Since we are doing this virtually in partnership with JobStreet, one of Asia’s leading online employment marketplaces, local jobs will be more accessible to more MIMAROPANs,” Suyao said.

To participate in the Virtual Career Fair, interested applicants may register using their personal email addresses through platform link – jobstreet.com.ph/vcf-21/go.
